About the Exhibition
Delighting audiences since its appearance in 1970, the Doraemon manga character is a cat-like robot figure from the future who, with his tools from the future, helps out struggling elementary school children. The Museum asked 28 leading Japanese and international contemporary artists to create their vision of Doraemon for this exhibition. This will establish as contemporary art the iconic character that has delighted children worldwide for over 50 years.
