Big hit comic “Rurouni Kenshin” appeared on the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1990s. The main character, Kenshin Himura suffered his former role as a manslayer but got to find his right way of life in the newly started Meiji period. The brand-new type hero gave vivid impression to many readers.
This large exhibition shows over 200 objects including original handwritten manuscripts and pictures for the Shonen Jump.
Manuscripts and plentiful exhibits are comprised of 5 key themes. They tell Kenshin and other characters’ strong conviction or attitudes to their lives. The author Watsuki’s notes, setting materials, new video and cross media development are also shown.
